Bid with Confidence
BidBuddy is an Australian property buying and auction bidding assistant. Estimates are based on the state or territory where the property is located.
Summary
Saved properties, optional auction record details, optional funding-source entries, listing URLs, settings, photos, and locally stored diagnostics stay on your device unless you delete them.
What BidBuddy Stores
BidBuddy stores saved properties, notes, optional auction record details, optional funding-source entries, listing URLs, app settings, and any property photos you add locally on your device so you can manage calculations and saved properties.
What BidBuddy Does Not Do
BidBuddy does not use accounts, cloud sync, or a BidBuddy-managed backend for your saved property data. BidBuddy does not upload your saved properties, auction record details, funding-source entries, notes, or photos to a server managed by the app, and it does not sell your personal information.
Photos, Camera, and Apple Services
If you choose to add property photos, BidBuddy requests camera or photo library access only so you can attach images to saved properties. When you use address lookup or open a property in Maps, BidBuddy uses Apple mapping services for those requests. You can revoke permissions at any time in the iPhone Settings app.
Diagnostics
BidBuddy can receive Apple MetricKit diagnostics and performance reports, such as crash, hang, launch, and responsiveness reports that Apple makes available to the app. In this version, those reports are stored locally on your device for troubleshooting and are not uploaded to a BidBuddy-managed server.
Retention and Deletion
Your saved properties, optional auction record details, optional funding-source entries, notes, photos, and locally stored diagnostics remain on your device until you delete them in BidBuddy or remove the app from your device. Deleting a saved property in BidBuddy also removes its saved photos.
Pricing Rules Updates
BidBuddy uses bundled pricing rules included with the app. Those pricing rules cover Australian states and territories and include state-based duties, fees, concessions, grants, and eligibility settings. They are updated through new app versions rather than remote downloads.
